Certified products must be entirely distilled and bottled in Nova Scotia by the original producer, ensuring authenticity and local craftsmanship.
Artisan Production Standards
Distillers must apply their own techniques in fermentation, blending, infusion, or aging. Simply mixing purchased spirits with water, flavouring, or aging without re-distillation does not qualify.
Application & Annual Compliance
Distillers must apply for certification and submit an annual declaration confirming continued compliance with program standards.
Certification Mark
Certified products display the official "Nova Scotian Distilled" mark, granting consumers confidence in their quality and origin.
